Patrician
Shores Association (PSA) is a small and friendly community of home owners
located at Lake Winnipesaukee in
Meredith, New Hampshire. The community consists
of 84 mostly year round homes with a mixture of waterfront, water view and
general residential homes. The private facilities include a beautiful secluded
beach, boat docks, boat and PWC moorings, tennis courts, a small playing field
and a recreation hall. The Association also provides well water to most homes.
The community is conveniently located between Meredith Village, and Centre
harbor.
Meredith
Village is rich with many restaurants, Hotels and shopping. It's waterfront
includes a beautiful park for picnicking, a boardwalk with gazebo, public boat
docking and launch, and waterfront dining.
Center Harbor has a beautiful public beach with a pavilion, playground, public
boat docking and launch, restaurants, grocery store, liquor store, Hardware
store, and a marina.
Leavitt Park, located nearby has A free public beach with life guards,
playground and restroom facilities . The water is very shallow and safe for
young children. They also offer swimming lessons during the summer.
The
Patrician Shores private beach is about 400' long, located in a small
inlet facing east with outstanding views of the ossippee mountains. The banner
photo above shows the Beach view. There are safety swim lines, and a raft. There
are no trash or storage facilities, so you take out what you bring in. Although
there is a small parking area near the beach and docks, walking or bicycling is
strongly encouraged.
Boating
facilities include boat docks, boat and PWC (Personal Water Craft) moorings, and
canoe/Kayak/Paddleboat storage and launch area. There are 44 boat docks which
are Licensed to PSA home owners. The maximum boat length is 24' with a beam
width of 8' or less.
There are 6 boat moorings, and 10 PWC moorings. All moorings are
assigned annually by lottery to home owners with valid boat/PWC registrations.
Home owners are allowed only one boat, and one PWC mooring. The boat mooring
lottery is held during the September meeting, while the PWC lottery is
held during the May meeting.
The
Association is managed by 7 elected board of directors which include a
President, Treasurer, Secretary and committee leaders, Membership
meetings are held twice per year. Numerous social events are also held during
the summer season.
The Annual Association fee covers community well water, management of the
beach, tennis courts, recreation hall, and all common areas. For homeowners who
have docks there is a separate fee for maintenance and upkeep of the docks. All
roads within the association are maintained by the Town of Meredith.
